How it works

Powerball draws take place every Thursday at 21:30 AEST/AEDT. Players choose seven numbers from a pool of 1 to 35, plus one Powerball number from a separate pool of 1 to 20. The jackpot starts at A$3,000,000 and grows if there is no Division 1 winner in a given week.

The dual-pool structure means matching all seven main numbers is not enough to win the top prize. You must also match the Powerball. Official draw results and game rules are published by the operator at thelott.com/powerball.

Odds and divisions

The odds of winning Division 1 are 1 in 134,490,400. To put that in perspective, you would need to flip a coin and land heads roughly 27 times in a row to match the same probability. Lower divisions offer better odds by requiring fewer matching numbers, but the operator is the sole source for complete prize-tier tables and payout schedules.

If you win

Prize claims are handled directly by the licensed operator that sold your ticket, not by auplaytrends.com. We are an editorial site and do not process wagers, hold funds, or distribute winnings. For claim procedures, time limits, and tax questions, contact the operator or consult the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission. Players must be 18 or older.
